Full Plan Start to Finish
Getting started video showing the complete start to finish process. Braceline is the first complete wall bracing interactive calculator.
Upload Your Plan
Export your building plans from your drafting software as a PDF. Upload the full size PDF, crop to only the necessary work area, then set a scale. This tells Braceline how to gauge how much wind bracing you need to pass your chosen IRC code.
Wall Lines
After uploading your plan, add your wall lines and define the spec for the wall line. In the next step we’ll add bracing panels within 4′ of either side of the wall line as per IRC code. Braceline shows you when you have a sufficient amount of wind bracing along each wall line.
Bracing Panels & Methods
Along each wall line, you can place custom bracing panels, all starting at the standard 4′ but able to be adjusted for its implementation. New panels come with the settings inherited from the wall line, but can be adjusted as needed to make an accurate and expedient wall bracing plan.
Collaboration & Sharing
If you need to hand off or sub out your wind bracing drafting, you can quickly share with any other Braceline user and manage who you has access to edit your wall bracing plans.

Tailor the view settings to speed up your wall bracing drafting time. Then set into position for your final PDF output.
Calculations Table
All the information that planners and inspectors need to ensure a sound bracing plan. Each piece of data correlates to a place on the drawing of the map as well as a legend for all the bracing panel types denoted in the drawing.
PDF Output
When you’re ready to send off for approval or want to view a draft, output a PDF and review what planners and reviewers will need. All your view settings stay in tact to create a custom output matching your desired format. Plans retain their high-resolution quality that you uploaded originally.
Import into CAD
Import your finished work into your CAD software. This way Braceline will integrate seamlessly into your permit ready drawings.
